RoboEducators Robotics Curriculum
 
This is an organized collection material that is related to Science, Engineering and Technology.  It is intended to be used in 9th grade science classes, robotics classes and robotics clubs.  This material could be used as resource to augment a textbook or could be used with out a textbook.

Note:  Due to changes in computers and web browsers, as of 2011 some module and lessons do not down load.  If you are interested in this curriculum, please contact the webmaster.  We are working on an updated version.

Download Design
The Design module is based on 6 weeks of classroom experiences.  This is a Computer Aided Design (CAD) based experience.  Autocad or Solidworks maybe used. The project is a trebuchet.  This mechanical device is used to teach design elements.

Download Programming

The Programming module is based on 6 weeks of classroom experiences.  This module is based on the Parallax Basic Stamp.  Lessons are from the Parallax manual "What is a Micropressor". This Manual is available as a download or may be puchased.  The parts kit is needed for the lessons and teaches electronics as well as programming.

Download Pneumatics
The Pneumatics module is based on six weeks of classoroom experiences.  It is a physics unit that stresses the Gas Laws.  It relates the gas laws to standard penumatics equipment that could be used in robotics.

The Electronics module is based on six weeks of classroom experiences.  This moduel has a large collection of website links as well as other lesson material.  The fundamentals of electronics are stressed and related to previous electornics knowlege that came from the Programming module.  Robotics application is stressed.

Download Mechanics
The Mechanics module is based on six weeks of classroom experiences.  The physics of mechanics are sterssed.  This unit is based on the GEARS Robotics kit.  The construction of a robot is part of this final unit.
